Thanks jabber, I am now just taking things one day at a time. It is the best way or I would go round the bend for sure.

Chatty,
I know what you mean about one day at a time. I've been living
like that for a good while. Some days, it's a half a day; I make it to noon, then to dinnertime. Life can get rough! Hang in.
Hang on.

Well Jabber, it gets old fast especially with what seems like no end in sight. It feels like I am unsettled inside, nervous and shakey, like knowing theres a bomb nearby and waiting for it to go off...just not knowing when and if it will!

That's how Post Traumatic Stress Disorder makes one feel. The least little startle, and the body overreacts. A loud noise, and
you nearly jump out of your skin. Everytime the phone rings,
I fear the worse, regarding my friend and/or brother. I heard
a good talk by Joel Osteen this morning and it help me tremendously. Proverbs 3:5, I'll paraphrase here, "Lean not on
your own understanding." I overthink things too much. He also
said, say "Lord, I believe." Meaning, you trust in God to
smooth out life's problems. I've found, many times we defeat
ourselves, with our own negative thinking. I said somewhere else
that I'm going to try to focus on what's positive. And I am.
Hope you can try that too. Perhaps we'll both have a easier go at it!

I love listening to the Osteens speak, he and she alike... What an attractive couple they are too.

jabber, that's one of my favoirte verses:

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.

Glad to hear it spoke to you.

Thanks. It sure lighten my mood. And I'm going to remind my
aged friend of that verse, too! Both of us needed to be reminded
of it! And yes. The Osteens' are an attractive, upbeat couple.
Joel always starts out with a joke. I love that. And his talks
are positive. I love that too. I thank God for that ministry!

I haven't really listened to him or read any of his books, though I hear his work referred to often. On what TV channel do you catch him?

Dotsie,
I watch him on Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. on a local channel but
I have seen him at night on cable. I think he's on the Christian
Trinity Network or one of the Christian channels. I haven't read his books, either. I figured they were just recycled sermons.
That's how Joyce Meyers' books are.
