My grandsonn Jack just left. He has been in town visiting my husband and I for a week. It was wild and wooly, a flurry of activity, but now that he is gone, I miss him already.

I always learn a lot when my grandkids come to visist. What I mainly learn is how behind the times I am. Since it was raining, we spent the majority of our time in the malls looking for used psp? and game boy games. We also had to have a certain kind of shoe that I had never heard of.

Lucky for me that I am "semi" computer literate. I was able to search on line and find the nearest stores. Google Earth was a life saver. He was most impressed that I knew how to google!

Spent a lot of time talking, playing games and enjoying the olymics. I tell you the truth. Grandkids are the best! I love every minute. I wouldn't change a thing!

How old is Jack? I'm gonna guess, a young teen?

Jack is 9 but feels almost like a teenager. I can't get over all his interests - especially computer wise - games wise etc. I can see I'm going to have to do a lot of homework to keep up!

Isn't grandkid withdrawal the worst?
My seven are heading back to school this morning, August 25th. I already miss the possibilities of going and getting them on the fly. They truly are God's best gift to grandparents....

I read somewhere that this is why God didn't give us grandchildren first...he wanted it to be a blessing in our golden years...and they are!
