Johnny Carson, one of my favorite nightly rituals in my earlier years passed away today. Now it's St Peters turn to say "Here's Johnny" Sending prayers for his family and friends. chickadee

Anyway, I was happy to hear he was surrounded by his family as he passed. As you said Chickadee, St. Peter welcomed him at the gate I'm sure with that famous intro - "Heeeeere's Johnny!".

To this day, the kids who hung out at our home talk about coming in at night and watching Johnny with Mrs. Mc.(my Mom). Johnny kept her company while waiting up for all her teens to arrive home safely. Dad would hit the bed at 11:00PM and Mom never went to bed until all five of us were in. Whoever came home with us ended up watching and laughing. Fond memories.

He had such a great sense of humor, and it appeared that he enjoyed the show as much as we did. Maybe he has Mom on that couch interviewing her in heaven. What a blast that would be for her. Mom meets Johnny Carson!
