I'm having an issue with my husband. I am a young boomer, 46 and so is he. But I feel like I'm still 20-something and I like to live. Not go out partying, but socializing, hiking, doing stuff. He loves to sit in front of the TV. I've tried to get him interested in doing things, but I'm almost at the point where I'm going to give up trying and just go live my life. I run, play the drums, and just love experiencing new things. Any advice on how I can get my guy up and interested in living? I've talked to him about depression, but he doesn't think he's depressed and wouldn't take anything for it if he was.

Sues, you just have to go out and do what you need to do. You've asked him to join you -- it's not like you're sneaking behind his back.

Do this for yourself, or you'll resent it forever. Life doesn't wait.

Sues, 46 IS young! If he's a couch potatoe now...what will he be like when he's 60? Don't allow him to pull you down...it's your life and you got to live it! Good for you!
