Hi Techs,

I thought I'd ask you about this. It always seems to take forever for Administators of webhosts to get back to you.

I am currently creating my new site and it is mostly for my new Adult Cartoon(that sounds like it's porno. but it's not. (grin), but it's not "funny" comics either). Anyway,

I have gone thru the process of scanning each "scene" into My Pictures...then I resized them to 800 x 600 (fits this size screen)..acording to this re-sizing program).

If you go to my Blog (www.designergrl.wordpress.com) you can see that I have one episode already there. With Wordpress you can upload(and this after I have done this resizing) and click on their "linked to" choice,

which I believe means it's Hyper-linked(I am Not a tech!)...so when someone comes to the blog, they click on it and it opens up big enough to see and read.

That is kind of what I am going for here at Freeweb...but when I first do the resizing, then the uploading and Preview it,each individual scene is Huge and it crops some of it.

Another idea I have seen whihc is really cute, is to have all the scene blocks together, and they are pretty small, and each one that you see has only a portion of it visible (like I have seen of some artistic renderings and one would only see and Eye or an ear or some such part of the whole)...then click to open up the whle scene.

Have I made any sense here at all ?

Thanks in advance,

Brandy (designergrl)

Brandy,
Things to check:

1. What is the resolution of the image you are trying to upload? 72dpi is the preferred size for online images.

2. Check to see if freeweb has a limit on the size of image you can upload - it could be it won't accept the resolution or size you have provided.

3. On your idea, if I understand what you want, to do that you would first make one image with all of your panels on it, cropped the way you want. Then, it would link to your large image with the whole scene.

I hope this helps.
Kathy

Aww shucks, not really. Just been doing this so long... about 9 years now.

Anyone else with questions, please don't hesitate to ask, okay? No problems, no bills... [Smile]

I think I got it gang. If ya wanna see
click on: http://www.freewebs.com/gettingreal/

Now I have another page that I need to cut /paste and re-do. I crammed all the characters on one page with their story lines therefore when one cliks onto it you cannot read the words. It's messy anyway. So i think I am going to put a single character on one page with her story line, then add them to my Home Page.

Now...maybe That is where I should consider doing that cropping idea, ? what do you think ?

Kathy, I wasn't ignoring you. I just went back and looked around more thoroughly. However your input (and that of others) is valuable to me.

Oh, and about calling, I'd much rather email because I am deaf, and Relay whether online or onthe phone is too many steps to do anything other than simply talk, ya know ? [Wink]

*** Anyway, Please feel free to check this out, leave comments, etc, sign the guest book if you wish. Or even suggest any ways to make it spiffier ? I am just using the site's tools anyway.

Oh yes, maybe I should add an addendum after the last scene in the Blind Date...I have two frames I am not thru with and hell, even *I* don't know what is gonna happen ! (grin)

That's what is so much fun about doing this. I let Them tell Me !

Thanks for you help!
