Not sure who here is texting with kids, siblings, spouses, friends, etc, but I text. I recently got a new phone with the whole keyboard and boy does it make a difference. SO much for the old way of clicking keys two, three and four times to get to the right letter. If you text and need a new phone, I recommend getting the whole keyboard.

Hi Dotsie!

I had the keyboard phone and it did make a difference in my texting speed, that's for sure! My techno-hubby just bought us new Verizon HTC Incredible phones. I swear, they are like little computers in your hand. I'm now trying to get used to the touch screen.

You'll love the keyboard and find yourself texting more and more. Have fun with it!

I text to several friends and family members. I used to have a candy bar style phone with a full keyboard, but now I have a Blackberry. It's still a full keyboard, but tinier. I am getting used to it.

I love the new hand held computers. I can't believe how much you can do with them. I wonder how we ever lived without cell phones???? smile

When cell phones first came out, I was so against them. I thought it was ridiculous that you had to be connected and reachable at all times and swore I would never get one.

Then, you decide to get one "in case of emergencies", and now look where I'm at!!

Our new phones are more expensive each month than our old plan, so we are considering giving up our home landline. We still have a business landline, so I think we'll be good.

Has anyone else given up their landlines? I hear you need it for 911 calls, but the new GPS on my phone helps with that, plus if I'm home I can use my business line. Let me know how it's worked for you.

I have a Blackberry, and I love it. I used to carry a PDA and a cell phone; now I have it all in my Blackberry. We still have our landline because we haven't really figured out how to have internet without a phone line.

That keyboard is called a "QWERTY"...which is the upper row of letters on the left all in a row! My 12 yr old niece taught me that.

We are not "there" yet...but are now off landlines. We don't text so the QWERTY would not really benefit me. I'd rather talk to people. And we are at the office more so we email back. BUT, did you know that you can send a text right thru your email on your home computer? It's great!
