meredithbead The Divine Ms M Registered: 07/07/03 Posts: 4894 Loc: Orange County, California	I'm in the March issue of Orange Coast Magazine, a "real" local glossy mag (as opposed to scores of ad-zines) showcasing Orange County (California) people, places, and stories. They have a monthly feature, "What would you pack in your earthquake kit?" where somewhat-known OC folks choose items that are not overly practical. The idea is for the reader to see another side of the public persona. I was chosen because I'm the only Poet Laureate in Orange County. I was interviewed in January but was not sure which month this would appear, although I was told "probably March." Then I got a bunch of emails from friends and colleagues saying Congratulations, so I figured I'd better buy my copy while it was still on the newsstand! The "other person" in this house couldn't understand why I'd want to pay $5 for a magazine when I've already been in a bunch of newspapers.
