I was thinking exactly the same, Chatty. All are true. I am just wondering how people are injured by a toilet?

And then again Saundra if we were asleep how would we know, blah!!!

Anno perhaps in a home with males who leave the seat up, sitting down can cause some pain and I imagine even injury. All that and a wet butt too.

I just had to find out about these toilet injuries, so I googled and this is what I found (I should have been able to figure this out on my own).

Toilet seats falling down while boys are using the toilet (ouch)
Small children falling in and drowning (put that seat and cover down)
Yes, chatty, sitting on toilet without seat down
Toilets that collapse under the weight of the person sitting

Be careful girls.

It is said most accidents happen in the home, especially the bathroom. In my life it's the kitchen and usually involves cooking (knives and oven burns).

Saundra, I'm forever getting little burns and slices in the kitchen too. I'll be baking this afternoon. I'm hoping this post will remind me to be careful. I usually end up oicking up a hot baking sheet and burning my fingertips. Or, I bump my hand on the oven rack while squeezing everything in.

Anno, I can't imagine a child drowning in the toilet. I've never heard of that. That's insane.

A child can drown in 2 inches of water. Imagine this, seat up, child climbs up belly first to investigate, slips, head first into toilet, arm at its sides, and face in the bowl...you have a drowning child.
When small ones are around, keep the bathroom doors closed and your eyes on that child. It only takes a split second.
