I've done 2 things wrong lately. 1) Opened a can of soft drink
in the car; it overflowed and dripped onto the shifting
mechanism; the gear shift indicator sticks now. Warning:
don't do it. 2) While correcting manuscript errors, didn't
save corrections after each chapter. Lost 200 pages worth of
corrections and had to start over. Save your work in segments!

Just thought I'd share. Hate to see any of you goof up like
this!

I wrote about the soda fizzing because WB says I'm lucky I didn't ruin the computer; it's right beneath where the
soda spilled over. That's why I'm telling you, so you won't do
the same thing! Prayers and blessings! whistle

Ignore it. Ask yourself, "is it true?" If it isn't, and that's my guess, then ignore it. No one can get INSIDE your head but YOU. Be confident in knowing that they have their own issues and you do not have to be a part of it. It's your choice, hun.

Ignore...ignore...ignore. Whenever you hear something like that, think of a something that will make you feel good. Hold that thought. The other...is just junk.

Thank you jawjaw. I have been ignoring it as much as possible! I'm praying TRUTH will surface!

The way I see it, the people who really know and love you won't believe the lies; the people who believe the lies don't know you and love you. People have lied about me - to my boss - and he believed it for a while. But in the end, the truth came out and the person lying lost her job. I can't control what others say about me, but I can control how I respond, and by continuing to treat the 'liar' as I always had, she thought she had gotten away with something, so when the truth came out, I told her I felt sorry for her. (And I think that p****d her off more than anything else!)

Yonuh,
Thanks for the input. I'll keep on praying! You know, it's amazing that another person can decide they don't like you, and simply cause all kinds of grief, just because they're miserable and hateful.

I truly feel sorry for people like that - they must be so miserable, and I can't imagine feeling that miserable that everyone around you has to be made to pay. Have you prayed for this person? Sometimes forgiveness works better than revenge.

Oh my gosh Jabber, 200 corrected pages lost! I think I would have gone on a long walk on a short pier.

Do you know that you can programm your computer to automatically save what you change? Sometimes that's good, sometimes that's bad. A tip: Copy Your manuscript on a second file in another programm. That's important in case you delete by accident. I also saved my book on a disk each time.

Edelweiss,
I have saved it on a disc, but that was after the corrections were done. I was tired; had been doing rewrites for 8 to 10 hours a day, for a few days; we were going away and I wanted to get it done. Should've saved the corrections after each chapter, but didn't. It was my mistake and am trying to warn others not to make the same error. Save your writing, at least after each chapter!

yonuh,
I pray for that entire family constantly; praying the truth surfaces and fast! And getting back to your post #203788, yes, I've prayed for her!
