The last time I asked for help, it worked so well thought I'd
try again.

This time: I've two nasty spots on my family room rug I can't
get out. And the more I try, the larger they get. I've used
every spot remover on the market. WB shampooed them with the
electric rug cleaner; they're worse. I believe they're the
result of the dog regurgitating when I didn't see her. The dog
dish is in a hall at the bottom of the stairs between the
kitchen and family room. It's dark there. If the light isn't on, or I'm in the living room, I sometimes don't see or hear what's happened till later. Anybody have a magic cure? Thanks!

Yes, use Bac-Out. Saturate the spots with it, let it sit for 15 minutes and mop up - don't rub. You may need to do it 2 or 3 times, but it will work. Bac-Out is an enzyme cleaner that smells like lime and I used it to get blood and other unsavory spots out of my mom's carpet after she died. It takes care of not only the spots, but also any odors.

Let me know! I have used it a lot since we got Spud, who loved to mark everything in the house when he first arrived. He's much better now, thank goodness, but the Bac-Out was such a find and it worked!

I'll let you know. Haven't been able to get to the store to
buy Bac-Out. But I plan to get some within the next couple of
days. I'm hoping to use it on Tuesday, when the dog is at the
vets. That'll give the area time to be re groomed. Thanks again.
This an extremely helpful suggestion; I've tried about every other product on the market. And they only make matters worse.

Quite awhile back I ordered OXI CLEANfrom a TV add, it's also on the web. It's a spot remover or you can add it to any washer of clothes. My kitchen curtains came out so beautiful I ordered 6 more bottles. Now if you take some and do as the directions say on the carton then put it on ANY stain, the stain is history. I even use it on my furniture is something gets spilled. It isn't expensive as some are, has no toxins and last a long time.

Chatty,
I tried Oxi clean, Resolve, this and that, and everything in between. The problem expanded, instead of lessened. Perhaps it was too many variables, or I did something wrong. Don't know. But it's a mess. And the more I/we try to make the spots go away, the worse they get. Of course, I'm one of those people who only reads directions, after making unsuccessful attempts. I've got more baggage than the local airport! LOL or not!!!

Oxi Clean never worked for me, either. It didn't even work on laundry stains even though I did follow the directions. I still have some left as I stopped using it when it didn't work. I have better luck with either Bac Out or Grandma's spot remover (I think that's what it's called) that my partner picked up at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. But the spot remover stuff doesn't work on set in stains and the Bac Out mostly does.

yonuh,
I had to order Bac-Out online. I went to several local stores, the Internet indicated would carry the product, but no one had
it in stock. So this morning I put in an order with vitacost.
I'm anxious to try Bac-Out, for I've tried everything. Thanks.
We'll report back when test is completed! Blessings...

Yonuh,
My order of Bac-Out came today and those two spots are soaking,
as I write this. I'll let you know the results, though it appears
to be working already! Can't thank you enough. Those areas were
too large to ignore and the carpet, carpets the whole family
room. Didn't want to have to redo the entire thing because it's
a large space. Thanks again, friend. You've been a huge help!
