"Obamanatin has taken the nation from a trillion in debt to over 4 trillion in debt in the first 60 days, with even more federal spending promised, which could put the natin $10 trillion in debt before the 2010 mid-term election. 50% of our life savings and 30% of home values have already evaporated in thin air." I think we are asleep at the switch. What happened to "government of the PEOPLE.!!??" We should be able to vote on this national healthcare. I don't want my choices taken away from me. There is another way to help the uninsured.

BO took six whole months to pick out a dog for his kids. But he swears to God that if we don't sign his "Savior" bills as fast as possible, usually within a few weeks, this country will self-destruct in a heartbeat.
His supporters (which are diminshing in numbers) say "Do not believe the horror stories about socialized medicine in other countries. They are all conservative fabrications. Yup, every story is deliberately designed to evoke fear. When Obama says crisis, it IS a crisis. But when others talk of crisis, do not believe them. Only Obama, Pelosi and Reid are telling you the truth...... yadda yadda yadda."
Something is very wrong when we are being sold a bill of goods which makes no sense at all.
"SPEND IN ORDER TO SAVE" is a joke principle. Even your grandmother knew better than to run the family household using THAT silliness.
"Everyone deserves healthcare so let's do it NOW (so we Dems can stay in power.") In fine print you'll see, "but sacrifices will have to be made." (It's obvious what THAT means)
Social Security is almost broke, Medicaid Medicare is in a deep financial hole, and Obama has spent more money over the last few months than all other Presidents COMBINED.
I belong to no political party, and I am smart enough to know that we have so much crookery in government already. Why put these people in charge of more money when so many are already stealing too much of it NOW?
I support government regulations to work with non-partisan medical Commissions to oversee how to rid hospitals, insurance and drug companies of waste and corruption.
Only problem is, so many from all sides have been sleeping together for decades, so it'll be hard to separate the decent law-abiding participants from the crooks.

Google different countries in which the government choreographs the medical show. Read what that country's own people are saying.
PS: I'm not a member of either political party. I am an Independent thinker and my husband is a dedicated registered Democrat (He has never posted here.)
I thought I would get that point across since it appears some people like me who criticize Team Obama-Pelosi-Reid, get labeled as under-educated, non-informed, closeminded, unsympathetic to the plight of the poor, you name it.
I believe many of us Independent thinkers ARE educated, ARE well-informed, ARE openminded and ARE sympathetic to the needs of the poor.
I adore my Democrat husband (who lived with socialized medicine for years in Europe), and together we oppose what our country is quickly turning into. Neither of us drink major Media-PR-Kool-aid. We see what is happening with our own eyes and listen to the BBC and other international stations to find out what others think of the socialized medicine in their own countries, countries which by the way are much smaller than ours.
Making sure THREE HUNDRED MILLION people including 43 million illegal immigrants get medically insured when so many people are not working and so many businesses are folding and we have no more money to spend....will require that many forms of treatment will have to be cut and many services for the truly needy will be limited. And those who ARE working will diminish in numbers as their paychecks continue to dwindle due to over-taxation at every level of working class society.
My advice: Do not swallow political party pablum from either side. Due diligence from EVERY source is key to understanding what is happening in America today.

Read what that country's own people are saying I can only speak for the UK where socialised healthcare is from cradle to grave. Those who complain about it are very much in the minority, and sometimes they complain without thought as to the other benefits from points A to Z which they have received and continue to be beneficiaries of. And, for the greater part, the debate on the National Health Service here is used as political fodder.

My husband's ex is English and she just last week returned from a one month visit there. She comes from a middle class family who prays they have enough private funds to circumvent the three month waiting list her elderly dad is on to see a physician about his infected leg. (They have already exhausted much money paying for shorter waiting times in the past)
Old friends and neighbors told her she was so lucky to be living in the USA, where the goverment has not completely ruined medical care yet.
In just the last few months we have spent our country into massive debt, the likes of which no one ever predicted. It is absolutely frightening.
This is time to stop stealing the taxpayer's money. This is time to repair Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare. This is time to reform the entitlement programs. This is time to oust the lobbyists and get rid of government corruption.
This is no time to spend money we do not have. This is not time to name call decent American citizens with traditional values. This is not the time to let one small band of corrupt government officials ruin America as we know it.
Months ago BO used the word "crisis" practically in every paragraph to get himself elected. (He spent $600 MILLION dollars on his campaign)
I think the real crisis came AFTER he took the Oath of Office. What is happening now is a national disgrace. And from what I am seeing, maybe America is now finally realizing it.

Over the years, we have had prayer and any mention of God taken out of the public school system.....We have praised America in song but I have NEVER heard of partisan political propaganda being taught to our children until this week, when I saw evidence that our youngest minds are being trained to think of Obama as a Savior and that one particular skin color should stand out over any other. Is this a total disgrace or what! What does this remind you of (hint: circa 1936, give or take a year or two) In North Korea, kids are required to sing crap like this to Kim Jung-Il. What in heavens name is happening to our country! The following are the lyrics of two songs reportedly taught to a class at a New Jersey elementary school full of praises for the "great accomplishments" of "The Great One." The school had "no comment" all day, but finally issued a statement saying this was done during Black History Month. Yeah, right. Spin away. FWIW, imo, I think race should not be mentioned unless it is being used for purposes of identification. PS: I have no problem with these songs being sung as part of a Black History Club after school or any other club where they want to praise BO on bended knee. But as part of the regular school day in the USA? It seems so leftist and inappropriate to me in what is supposed to be a free democracy. Song 1: Mm, mmm, mm! Barack Hussein Obama Did I ever learn the "wrong songs" as child? I did...as child in grade 6, we learned and sang 1960's anti-war song: "How many times must man walk down...." I learned songs that hinted native Indian roots (not Canadian): "Land of the silver birch, home of the beaver......boomdity-boom-boom (simulating native Indian drums) There IS hint of ethnic/patriotic pride in that song sung at children's camps, for many decades, etc. If Obama was a violent dictator, was a wife abuser, blah, blah, etc., then people should be concerned about singing praise of him. But he's not. Or am I missing something?

But he's not. Or am I missing something? No, I do not think you are missing anything, Orchid. You are like me, simply expressing an opinion about an issue. Currently we are still mostly allowed to express an opinion in America. If this song, which I understand was adapted from a Christian song about Jesus but a "few words" got switched around, had been sung at a private camp in which the parents were aware of the lyrics, I fully support it. I do not support a PARTISAN POLITICAL song being taught to very young impressionable children at a PUBLIC school FUNDED BY TAXPAYER DOLLARS without parental consent. And I have never supported one lone skin color being singled out from any other skin color, except for purposes of identification. It is my opinion that this form of separatism does not foster the true positive nature of our melting pot society. This kind of thinking may be part of Hitler, Wright, and Farrakhan's philosophy, but I do not believe in the superiority (and celebration) of ANY one race over another and I do not think it should be taught to our children.
