chatty lady Writer Registered: 02/24/04 Posts: 20267 Loc: Nevada	My mom's 30 some odd year old pressure cooker died. Actually it works but the rubber around the lid has deteriorated and fallen apart, and can't be replaced due to it's age. So I am searchig for a new pressure cooker for her. Found a really nice 5 quart one at Wards. My dryer now 21 years old is giving me fits with the lint catcher, also wearing out and can't be replaced. So I managed to rig it with fishing line and so far, so good, but it is just a matter of time. Louisa Member Registered: 07/11/04 Posts: 2132 Loc: MA	Just happened to our HVAC unit. $5200 to replace. They no longer make this one so no more parts. Washing machine died same week. (Another $1400.) We had a Maytag, the piggy back kind. Had to replace the whole thing even though the dryer still worked. They no longer make the one that you can replace one piece on. Had to buy a washer and dryer. Got a Whirlpool stackable one. Whirlpool now makes Maytag. New Air-conditioning unit was $4700.00 then something inside and the furnace cost another $1400.00 My two dogs died and it cost my $3800.00 trying to save them. Two new large rugs cost me $850.00 New microwave was $57.80 Oh and my new enclosed patio was $750.00 but I love it!!! I am doing less in the kitchen and doing more of a raw foods diet and juicing...Does anyone have and use a pressure cooker?
