Another academic sexuality survey - 04/21/09 01:19 PM

Hello all. My son is doing is dissertation research in menopause and sexuality and was wondering if any of you would be interested in participating.

Participation requires completing an online survey.

To see if you qualify for this study, click: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=VcP8PJrCyVoqmjAp9o3BJw_3d_3d

You also contact Robert Clark, MS, at 301-295-9666 or at menopausestudy1@gmail.com to provide you with more information.

This research study is sponsored by the Uniformed Services University, Department of Medical and Clinical Psychology, in Bethesda, Maryland.

Thanks
Rosanne

Rosanne is a member of the NABBW, ladies, so feel free to take the survey if you want to.

Thanks Rosanne for including us! Hope everyone will help Robert. One question would be if this survey is anon? Or do the participants have to give their names?

Rosanne, I just took the survey. The last question asks you to give your email address. Must one do that to complete the survey.

Hi Rosanne

I just filled out the preliminary survey. I wish your son the best in completing his dissertation. I know those are a bunch of work! Haven't had the courage or inclination to go that far in my education.

I believe so. But I can ask him. What is your concern about that part so I can pass it along to him?

Without trying to put words into someone else's mouth, I think a lot of people are reluctant to give out their e-mail address because they don't want a flood in their inboxes from a particular organization and others that are linked to it.

I can tell you from my own experience, that I took the survey, gave my email address, and was given a prompt reply. It was, of course, that I wasn't qualified for the survey in question, but they did as they said they would, replied promptly. I don't think anyone will see a bunch of emails on this one...but I could be wrong. I was once back in 1972.

This study is run by my son, a single student. There is no company involved and he or his colleagues are reviewing the screeners themselves. I asked him about it too and he said all emails will be "destroyed" or deleted at the end of the study.
