hormone replacement therapy - 11/23/02 05:30 AM

i amnot yet into the whole menopause or even peri-menopause thing but i do want to put this out there for anyone who is. hormone replacement therapy is not something to be taken lightly. please remember this and talk with your doctors about it and the risks involved when the times comes. please remember this advice. HRT or hormone replacement therapy is a very controversial, yet can be very beneficial if used properly, tool for menopause and perimenopausal symptoms, just use caution with it. thank you.

I've been doing a good deal of research on hormones and recommend that everyone check into Dr. John Lee's book "What your Doctor didn't tell you about Menopause" You can find his link and read a few pages. I started using progesterone cream and made an ovarian cyst disappear, another one shrink, and am working on destroying my uterine fibroids. Lee says the worst thing is the unopposed estrogen. Along with the cream, I'm only eating hormone free meat & dairy and organic produce -- according to Lee and others, many of the pesticides behave like estrogens. I got very angry when I realized all this, thus adopted this radical diet. but I feel great -- no more cramps, no more flooding, no more insomnia! For me this has happened after 3 months of the cream.
