I haven't, but I've been planning to.
Oprah was promoting it not too long ago. I question what she promotes anymore.
I use to read from her book list, years ago. The books she chose weren't really to my liking, but I read them anyway. I've been wondering if the movie was somewhat like the books she promotes.

The film hasn´t come here yet. Can you just tell us something about it?

gims, my son who is a film student, told us about it when he was home on Christmas break. At that time it was only in a few theaters and was gaining steam. He thought it was something Ross and I would like. It was a very low budgeted film that is doing extremely well.

JUNO stars Ellen Page as the title character, a whip-smart teen confronting an unplanned pregnancy by her classmate Bleeker (Michael Cera). With the help of her hot best friend Leah (Olivia Thirlby), Juno finds her unborn child a “perfect” set of parents: an affluent suburban couple, Mark and Vanessa (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner), longing to adopt. Luckily, Juno has the total support of her parents (JK Simmons and Allison Janney) as she faces some tough decisions, flirts with adulthood and ultimately figures out where she belongs.

hmmm, for some reason, I don't care for Jennifer Garner.
Thanks for the info, tho... no wonder my daughter wouldn't let me take my granddaughters... it's about a pregnant teen.
I heard or read that the script was written by a novice, her first work, and it only took a couple of hours or days.
That's really why I wanted to see it.

summers, I saw it and loved it too. The people were so very real. Loved the dialogue. I'll have to rent it becasue my daughter wanted to see it and I don't think she ever did. I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

MA, there's nothing better than watching something that was filmed in your town. It's so much fun to recognize all the local places.

Local hero was filmed in the West Coast and Pennan in Aberdeen.
Pennan is a small village on the shore way down a steep hill with cliffs.
Been there when we had our caravan holidays.

The west coast has beaches whereas Pennan has rocky shore.A bit of a cheat if you vist (and there are actual "pilgrimages" there even after 25 years) and the beach is somewhere else.

No films of my village but a novel by a romantic writer early 1900's.I have it as an heirloom.

I enjoyed watching 'Juno' last weekend, very cute!

My niece and I saw Prince Caspian last weekend and loved it! Will watch again when DVD comes out! (No, was not exactly like the book, yet thats Hollywood).

Presently watching the 'Golden Compass' which is very charming. Was hoping the sequel is filming, however its not to be. Thus, I'll need to read the books.

I just love movies w/ talking animals!
