James Brady Dies at 73

I was saddened this afternoon to hear via the New York Times that former Reagan Press Secretary James Brady has died.

The time when both he and President Reagan took a gunshot -- 1981 --is long ago, but thankfully the Brady Bill lives on.

Now if we could just come together as a country to take further action to remove guns from our lives.

I don't think guns will ever go away; the NRA is too powerful a force at the moment. And their board is packed with owners of companies that make guns and ammunition. So until lobbying is outlawed, guns are here to stay.
