Weather... - 10/14/14 08:20 PM

How's the weather where you are? It's windy here, today. Warm. But windy. The leaves are pretty where I live. Went to Letchworth State Park today but it's just as colorful here.

Where many of you live, do the leaves even change color? Just wondering.

Can be upper 30s in the A.M. on our way to market. But in the mid 80s in the afternoon. Crazy weather.

No leaf color change yet. Our roses are still blooming!

No color changes here, but there will be at the higher elevations. We are still high 80s during the day - close to 90 - and around 60 overnight. My roses are just starting to recover from the brutal summer. The important thing is, they survived their first summer! As well as they're doing right now, they should be fantastic in the Spring.

I have a sister living in Tucson, Arizona. Hubby and I visited her back in 1999. And it was 90 degrees at 7 p.m.; WB and I were so amazed. We're used to Western New York and it never gets that warm here. We may've had one or two days that warm this summer but that'd be midday not early evening. whistle

It's fall here in NW Illinois. Not ALL the trees are turned, but plenty of them are. And the temps are lucky to get to the 70s. Some folks are saying this will be a long and hard winter.

You know, Anne, I heard a weather report earlier in the year that said, "This winter will be colder than usual." So I ordered a cord of firewood and began bracing to face subzero temps. This morning hubby called me to the TV. Another reporter is predicting a mild winter. So I guess God only knows. confused
