Yarn shops

Yarn shops - 01/29/03 10:53 PM

It seems that yarn shops are becoming harder and harder to find. I don't know if it's because the US mills have closed down or if the younger generation just isn't "into it", but I hear this all the time -- I can't find a decent yarn shop in my area.

Anyone else notice this?

Yes. But I also know people who go to wool festivals and spin their own yarn.

There used to be some people here in our town that spun their own yarn. They would spin dog hair too -- I knew a lady that made a hat from her deceased dogs hair ;-)

Oh I have something even better, nillawafer. There's a company that will take the cremated remains and turn them into precious stones. My husband wants this done to himself. He said if I did it, he would get me made into one giant rock and put it up his butt, since I'm up it most of the time anyway. [Smile]
