changing user id - 01/26/10 04:08 PM

Does anyone know if there is a way to change your user id? Currentlly I show up as 'kgreene' but would prefer it to be 'Kathy'. Is there a way to do that? Thanks!

Greene, you can send a PM to either Dotsie or JJ who are in a better position to help you out with this one.

Kathy.....WHERE do you show up as kgreene? Your username is showing green415 and that is what shows up HERE in the forums. Do you mean your log in name?

PS---Kathy, we cannot use KATHY as a user name or ID as it is already taken. Do you have an alternate name you would like to use??

You were right jawjaw, I was confused as to what showed up. It is greene415. I just thought of Kathy because it seemed a little more personal. As Kathy and Kathleen are already spoken for I think the best thing would be to stop stewing about it and let it be as Greene is my last name.
Thanks for the amazingly quick answers. I just love this place!

Check your PMs...I sent you everything you ever wanted to know about posting pix's in here. LOL! It's an overkill, I know...but hey.

You are so very welcome. Let me know if I can help in any other way. I'm not normally so prompt, as the girls here can attest to, but I just happen to be in the forums today.

Happy posting....I'm just in awe of your weight loss. How did you do it?

Sometimes I feel like saying 'I did it the easy way', but in reality it wasn't easy at all. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done but IT WORKED smile I had gastric bypass surgery. The best news is that within 6 months I was off all blood pressure, type II diabetes and cholesterol lowering medicine. I think of it as a life saver, or life extender, one that allows me to be there as a Grandma going forward. Best thing I ever did for myself.

To me, and although I don't condone the surgery (my cousin died from it), I say the easy way would have been to do nothing.

You chose to take charge of your life and move in a direction that worked for you. How could this be wrong? I think it's wonderful and I'm very happy for you, greene. Yes, indeed.

Thanks jawjaw. Compared to where I was before the surgery and my 4 years of drinking (from food addiction to booze addiction) I have taken charge of my life. I'm in a much better place both physically and mentally.

Thanks MustangGal. I had to chuckle at you quote because every time I have actually saddled up and rode it has taken lots of courage:) I grew up around horses but usually was cleaning the tac barn and stalls rather than riding.

BRAVO!!! to you Kathy (greene415) You are a hero for taking such a drastic chance, and it having been so successful. Like JJ, I had someone very close to me have the surgery and die from complications. But YOU are one of the success stories. I am happy for you. Me, I am doing it the slower way, one less fork full of food at a time...
