formica and chrome - 03/07/04 09:21 PM

It's back! I was reminded of this while browsing through a couple catalogs lately. It took me back. I recall our kitchen table that had white marbled formica with a chrome lip and chrome legs.

And let's not forget to add vinyl to that. The chairs were chrome with vinyl padded seats.

There was a period of time that I thought it looked so tacky. Now I think it's a little funky when I see it in catalogs. Funny how the times change our opinions.

Always hated the stuff and stil do. Reminds me of an old drugstore fountain. We all had them, the chrome and vinly infestations. Some good old things are just OLD and NOT very good. Just this womens opinion..... [Eek!]

My bathroom floors (circa 1976) were done in that horrendous vinyl that reminds me of a 1950's dinette set, which is why I've tiled over one floor and have plans to tile over the other two. Ugly, ugly, ugly, and it gets worse with age. [Frown]
