Ladies, I read about this in a newspaper and thought I'd share.

If you go to www.ssa.gov and click on Calculate Your Benefits under the Retirement heading you will go to a page where you can select from three calculators:

Quick
Online
Detailed

You should be able to get started from this.

It will give you estimated benefits for different ages.

Kinda cool and lots to think about.

I get a statement from SS every year. Doesn't everyone?

Yes. I do too. But, the site can come in handy when you just want to look it up and not have to dig out papers.

I got to check if I'm eligible too. After all I worked for American companies till I was 27. Very interesting site Dotsie. Thanks so much for posting it.
