What kind of a Sandwich is this?? - 08/27/11 11:14 PM

The sandwich generation is a real thing. This weekend, the weekend of Hurricane Irene, I definitely was the Ham, Cheese, Lettuce & Tomato, in between two pieces of toasted Rye Bread. I naturally had concerns for the well being of my children, who do not live with me, as well as my aging mom. Between the phone calls, the weather updates, and having my mom come to stay with me until the storm passes, it's been a busy weekend, to say the least. However, we do what we need to do and really wouldn't have it any other way. I hope everyone else in the Northeast is safe.

I'm glad you could be there for both your mother and your kids. That's all that matters, isn't it?

Glad you weathered the storm lindasusan, and it wasn't as bad as they originally thought it would be.

Over 60 mile an hour winds here for several days. I've never seen so much lightening. Lots of minor flooding, dark clouds still hanging low, no sunshine and it's dropped to 72 degrees. I think fall is finally here...
