One of BWS long time members is asking for our prayers for a tragedy that took the life of a 13 year old buy recently, her and her husbands grandson. I will not go into detail but please say prayers for her husbands son's young family who in a few short years have had to overcome the young husbands life threatening illness, then their home burned to the ground, and now the death of their beloved teenage son in a shooting accident.

My husband and I are the the ones who have lost our wonderful grandson. This is the most horrible thing. I cannot even express the sadness we feel and the sadness is even greater for the young parents. We mourn for our son and his wife as they mourn their son and we also mourn our grandson.

He was such a wonderful young man. The local news featured a tribute to him this evening by his coach, friends, and baseball team.

Because we knew he would want it, his kidneys, liver, and pancreas were donated for transplant. His lungs and heart were too badly damaged for transplant, but were donated for research.

We try to find comfort in the knowledge that one life has ended, but three others have just started again. And research on the heart and lungs could result in treatments that could save millions. It's not enough, but it's all we have.
