It's finally getting a little brighter in the morning. Yahoo. Sometimes I walk at 6:20 and lately, it's been pitch black. This morning, there was a bit of light at that time so we are moving in the right direction. It's the only time a friend can walk so I do it, but walking in the light is one of the reasons I walk. I like the brightness. It sorta defeats half the purpose for me when I walk in the dark.

Things are looking up!

Anyone else walking for exercise? Or doing anything else?

Anne, it's just like you to weed for your neighbors.

I always feel guilty because we live right across the street from our church, and while I'm working in my garden, somme of our church members are volunteering by weeding and cleaning up at the church. Sigh.

I love walking first thing in the mornings, but here lately it has been rainy, windy, and cold. My allergies are really bad this Spring and I can't be out in the wind to long before my head and nose becomes fully congested.

I´ve started walking..debut yesterday evening. For me, the early hours don´t work..I am a nite owl..and it takes everything I´ve got to get me to work on time in the mornings. But,living in Sweden, in alittle while, it´ll be light and bright here long into the evenings..altho I kind of like the seclusion and privacy of the nite, too.

And Dotsie..I am doing my yoga, too. You asked if anyone was doing somethng else too. I am still hoping to be able to jogg a bit..if I do some serious walking first. I have been a jogger for over 25 yrs. And then my knees started hurting..and I didn´t listen..so now I can´t jogg..but I would like to try again..sometime..

It is my sincerest plan to get up early as I did this morning and walk. I am surrounded by mountains and lovely scenery and the morning smells so fresh and clean before all the traffic begins to gather for the journey to work. Today it was 92* by noon. So it's either walk mornings or mid evenings. And boy did running around the Casinos let me know just how out of shape I really am, ugh!!!

NOT brighter in the morning..sorry gals..but this gal went for a walk about 1:30am with the moon lighting my way..a dark velvety sky above my head..stillness in my ears..and after awhile..even my thoughts were still..so I decided to go a bit longer..and it was heavenly!

I am not in the best of shape..those hills still give me heavy breathing..but it was really worth it! Of course, I didn´t get a chance to work out at the casinos..as some of you ladies did but I am working on it!

I'm such a scaredy cat. I'd never walk alone in the middle of the night. Were you afraid?

Hotter too...at least now, It is 100* here today so I have been walking around my house, up and down the hall and also marching in place during commercials. Hopefully that will help some in the exercise department.

No kidding, I am keeping my fingers crossed mine doesn't go out this year. It got to nearly 128*'s in here last time it went haywire for a day... How do some people in this darn desert live without it? We are already having to patrol the parking lots for IDIOTS that leave their kids (two found yeaterday under four years of age that had to be removed by the police) and pets in hot cars. Statistics show in 90* weather it takes a mere six minutes for the temp to go to over 120* in a parked car even with the windows open half way...

We aren't having that hot weathre yet. That's usually in late July thru September in Baltimore. A year doesn't pass without some type of car death due to heat. I just don't get it.
