Thanks. I called around today to get some ideas, and tomorrow when I get my grey roots touched up I'll ask the girls there if they have any experience with it. Maybe I'll get a test tan before I meet Chatty next week, and she can weigh in on it!

DD,

I have had spay tans, and I love them.

I have had them done with an individual spraying me - never a machine or booth. I can't imagine that a booth spay tan would turn out even.

I highly reccomend doing this - yes, they spray chemicals on you (and I'm VERY concerned about such things).....BUT, I only do it once or twice a year before a vacation!!

I heard once that "tanned fat looks better the white fat". LOL

Danita

LOL, why do you think I'm doing it? Tanned legs DO look slimmer than white ones!

I spoke to someone at length yesterday about the air brush tanning; that sounds like what you've used. I think I'll go do that next Tuesday and let you all know how it works. It's supposed to last up to 2 weeks, whereas the booth spray tans only last about 5 days.

Kathy, I'm picturing you getting all colored up for this trip to Vegas.

And Danita, I agree. Tanned cellulite is better than white cellulite.

From what I've read if you get an air brush tan,a good applicator can darken in areas to make you look more tone & muscular..IE illusionary 6pk abs. LOL Form might be a dead give away though.
I use tanning beds that don't emit the burning damaging rays. Premier Tans has those beds. I am think spray tan is the way to go next summer. I really can't see any lamp bed being totally safe. But, driving to the salon isn't safe either... KEy to comfortable bed tanning is to start slow w/ low watt bubls, increase watts & time as your skin darkens. I marshmallow out in winter except for a dab of self tan lotion on face & arms.
A friend of mine in jr high tried soaking in a bath tub of tea. then a kid that went to school with the boys stained something and got the bright idea since she couldn't wash it off to stain herself. LOL The things we do to look amazon.

I live in Daytona Beach, Florida, and work outdoors near the beach. I can't tell you how many fake, uneven, yellow/orange tans we've seen here over the years. We don't know what these people are thinking. Hope it goes well and you look gorgeous.

Thanks Saundra and Q-Ball. I still haven't decided what to do yet and I leave in 3 weeks. Don't think my cellulite will be gone by then, so maybe I'll just use my tanning lotion on my legs. It kills me to spend $25 for a spray tan that lasts 5 days. Still haven't tried it out to see if it works on me or not.

I saw a woman while we were vacationing this summer that appeared to have used tanning lotion, and the backs of her legs were so streaked with dark orange. I wondered if she knew? That's what I'm afraid of!

K, You might want to try one when you're not going on vacation just to see how your skin reacts. Streaks in hair are okay, not in tans.

dancing, can you take time to sit out in the sun a bit each day?

I just got back from the beach. Want some of my tan? Always more on the front than back. I don't have the nerve to lay flat out on my stomach with folds and bumps all across the back of my legs. That's why you see me walking off the beach backwards.
