I really like "Christmas Vacation," Dotsie. It's just tooooo funny!

My favorite is virtually never shown on television anymore. It's called "The Gift of Love: A Christmas Story" starring Lee Remick, Angela Lansbury, and Polly Holliday. The screenplay was written by Earl Hamner of the Waltons fame, and to me it is a classic story of Christmas hope and new beginnings. I do wish they would put it out on DVD. (I was fortunate enough to buy a homemade copy of this made-for-TV version, and I made it into a DVD. It's not the best quality like one professionally done, but it's priceless to me.

Movie description: "Bearing a marked resemblance to It's a Wonderful Life, "The Gift of Love: A Christmas Story" stars Lee Remick as a woman plagued by profound emotional and business problems. It's getting close to Christmas, but Remick is hardly in the mood to celebrate, feeling that her life has lost its purpose. She is revitalized by a dream in which she is reunited with her recently deceased mother (Angela Lansbury ), who guides Remick through an inspiring replay of her Depression-era childhood.
