I should've known the 1st time that 1st trainer jerked Xena, right after he put a pinch collar on her, that he was an idot. But several of my neighbors used this dude and their dogs seemed fine. I'd like to put a pinch collar around that guy's neck and yank as hard as I could. Oh well, thank God we saw the light. The method of "reward what she does right" is my kind-o training process. The three of us have learned the hard way. But at least we've learned! Reward for what they do right is the way to go. Punishment for bad behavior is old school and very outdated. It only confuses pup and makes bad behavior worse!
