I have decided to retire after this school year ends. I want to spend time with Dennis.

We maybe interested in going somewhere warmer for the winter months. We are thinking Florida, but would love anything warm and easy. We must have an accessible apartment.

Do any of you know any agencies (or individuals) that arrange such rentals?

And just for your information, I will be working again, but have not decided upon my next career. Life and time will tell.

Thanks, Nancy. I am taking a year off and then I will recreate myself once again.

Anno, remember Saundra, our BWS dental health activist? She lives in Florida and was selling timeshares. She might have some contacts in an indirect way or give you good advice so you can get a good, safe deal.

Of course I know Saundra. I will send her a pm, now. Thanks for the reminder, Orchid. Also, isn't Sandpiper from Florida?

Yes, Sandpiper is in Kissimmee, or something like that...

Also try here in Vegas, the resort I live in is full of homes to buy/rent. You could call Cal-Am Homes, Try (702)456-5823 if interested...We might be neighbors!

Yes, I bet Saundra would be a big help.

Start Googling the areas you want to rent. I'm sure they're tons of people who would want to rent to you in this economy.

I'm excited for you and your year off. You're going to love it.

Dennis is set on Florida. He is pretty sure it will be his last winter...at least his last that he can get out of the house. frown

Anno, I've thought of you and Dennis often and have wondered how he is doing. I'm so happy that he is still interested in getting out and doing things. His body may not be cooperating, but his mind is still very alive!

I wish you the best and I'm sure you'll find something wonderful in Florida. I have a friend who rents a condo in Palm Springs each winter to the same family from Canada every year. I'm sure there are many properties like that in Florida as well, and you can't beat the ocean breeze.

Take care!
Kathy

I was going to mention Saundra as well and glad Orchid has beaten me to it as I've come late to this topic.

Love and touched by Dennis' latest poem, Ann.

Thanks, Kathy. I think he would love to travel the world instead, but it is exhausting for both of us. We are heading to Cape Cod for a week as soon as school is finished and we are looking forward to that. We are living one day at a time, right now.

Lola, he wrote that for me years ago. Funny thing is, he is far from the quietest one! He won't explain it to me, so I have chosen to interpret it meaning, he has never caused me woe (as past boyfriends have done).
