Did you know that there's a wedding chapel in Vegas where you can get married on the bridge of the Enterprise?? Of course, that only makes sense if you're a dyed-in-the-wool Trekkie!!

If you visit Las Vegas you really should gamble,
but if not then be sure to ramble.

There are Egyptian ruins to see and admire,
see the Eiffel Tower but take a photo so friends don't say you're a liar.

You can see New York, smell the streets and eat from a vendors cart,
at the Mirage a volcano erupts while dolphins swim underground and don't miss the pirates at Treasure Island.

On the Las Vegas strip you can see the world,
acts of all kind enough to make your toes curl.

You can rent a surf board and catch the right wave,
at the Mandalay Bay if water is what you crave.

I could go one forever listing things to do here,
but if it's relaxation you want there are fantastic foods to enjoy, far and near.
Or give me a call and together we'll have a cold beer.

Yonuh there is so much competition for people who want to marry. IN one chapel you can be married by Elvis, another has a drive thru marriage, one ia all hulu girls and a fire eater. The Hilton is the one with the Enterprise for Trekies. It's a Zoo as far as how you want to marry. There are also some very nice places, small chapels and Gazebos which are quite tasteful.

WB & I went to Vegas in 1998; we gambled $40.00 and won $80.00.
Talk about cheap spenders. But WB is very frugal. However,
we had a ball; loved the lights, architecture, shows, and
sights.

Yonuh,

Good think my husband didn't know about that Vegas wedding option 23 years ago - today is our anniversary -- or we would have been there on the Enterprise bridge for our wedding.

We have been to Riverside, Iowa, which is said to be the birthplace of Captain James T. Kirk, AND we used to go to the Star Trek conventions in Minneapolis every summer...

If your husband is a Trekie he needs to see the amazing exhibit with games etc., at the Hilton Hotel & Casino. I have seen men revert back to children from all the excitement...

Thanks, Chatty,

Next time we are in Vegas we will:

1) Visit you.
2) Check out the exhibit at the Hilton
3) Take a gondola ride
4) Take in at least one show

Not sure when that will be. But last time we visited my mother in AZ we combined that with a conference in Vegas.

Normally I don't like all of the Vegas hype. but last time we were there a friend of ours took us to dinner at an out of the way - and WAAY off the Strip - restaurant that used to be owned by Liberace.

The current owners keep the decor going - sort of as a museum - and the food was excellent.

Food: That's what I love about Vegas. The buffets are to die for.

Yonuh,
I never got into the Trekkie zone, but Vegas has so many awesome
sights. Just the hotel architecture blows me away!

Weighed Down

If anyone has time, for an added prayer,
I've another friend in deep, lowdown despair,
Hospitalized last night for emergency repair,
They've just moved her in, with the critical care.

"Trouble comes in threes," old folks would say,
And that I believed, in the yesteryear day.

But problems are hitting, triple times three,
And I refuse to lose ground, leastwise spiritually.

So I'll pray for you and you pray for me,
Perhaps, forcing destruction to flee in a plea.
