Although I enjoy receiving and reading them, I very rarely pass along emails. I suppose it stems from my years of training to be computer tech and subsequently network administrator. I spent so much time studying, implementing and maintaining network security that it became ingrained in me to be cautious. But there are such great free antivirus and internet security programs that I don't need to be so vigilant now. Still, I only pass along jokes/inspirational stories to the people I know will enjoy them. Since most of my friends are online, most of them see the same stuff anyway through either the same or other sources.

Hubby passes along everything, mostly to his BIL in Quebec, who wouldn't get most of those jokes/stories otherwise.

I only pass on something if I think the recipient will enjoy it, otherwise not. I have friends all over the world, so I sometimes do pass along jokes, even the off-color ones if I think the person I'm sending to won't be offended. I'm not easily offended but have received some emails that make me wonder what the sender was thinking!!

I rarely forward emails. I find some very offensive, especially political ones. I don't care which party you are for, I don't think they do anything to promote peace. Most of the time they are very demeaning.

Every now and then I come across something that makes me roar or stop dead in my tracks. Those are the ones I might pass to a few.

Yes Dotsie..
too easy to just forward willy nilly and who knows what kind of day a person is having..
worst still is the long list of email addresses where mine will be floating around..thats how I had change of an email address..even reading some of the names chosen
by one group of friends an acquaintance had..bikers from her husband circle..(they shared email address)

same with text speak..I avoid it.

I found out that if you put any forwarding into the Bcc those names and email address's DO NOT show up anywhere, so no one can get them. Now I do that all the time unless I forget, which I do sometimes...dam!!!
