We spent a few days in the Rocky Mountains by Lake Louise --snowshoeing and enjoying some good food, views.

I recommend snowshoeing to anyone who can walk! It's a great work-out. smile More trip highlights in cyclewrite blog.

Great shot, orchid. I love snow - as long as I can see it from inside! Hate being cold!!

orchid,
Beautiful view. Love it! Walking without snowshoes is a good workout, too. I know. I do at least a mile and a half every morning!

Beautiful, Orchid. I've been to Banff and Lake Louise and that whole area is beautiful. I commend you for being fit enough to snowshoe. I'd like to try it sometimes, but it will take a while to get my body in shape!
Now I'm going to check out your other photos.

Sandy, in terms of learning, snowshoeing is an easier winter sport than...ie. ice skating, skiing.

groovylass from England does snowshoeing. She loves it. She goes cross-country skiing, too. Love, love, love the picture.

Everything I've read says snowshoeing and cross country skiing are both great exercise...
