Anybody else getting sick of hearing people hurting people?
It's becoming too frequent, too often. And it's sad. Again I say, God Bless America.

The incidents of shooting, stabbing, people doing stupid things and etc. do seem to be escalating, don't they?

Yes. They do. And that's sad. I can't understand why people can't just let other people enjoy life. This goes for that
Nevada farmer named Bundy. Now why do the Feds go there and take his cattle? It's state land that his cattle are grazing on. And this is just one example. Leave people alone. IMHO some of the problem is that society's higher ups are messed up; their examples are less than stellar. And that isn't helping the youth.

The story of the rancher isn't as simple as that. He hasn't paid grazing fees in over 20 years. Anyone who grazes their cattle on public land, federal land, state land, is supposed to pay a fee for that privilege. It would be like us not paying our taxes. There are consequences for things. I agree about the elite setting a bad example, but the problem is they get away with it; we can't.

I know the case goes back 21 years. And it started over turtles which the Fed's are now killing, even though they claim they were protecting back then. Rancher Bundy and others' say his cattle were grazing on STATE land not FED land. He'll pay the state, etc. But FEDS fighting over STATE land they aren't going to use and have no plans to use, is what kind of wisdom?

I don't want to argue with you jabber, but this is what I found. The turtles that were killed were at a conservancy and were too old or too ill to be released back into the wild; the rest were released. The Bureau of Land Management is responsible for the administration of much of the land in Nevada, and in much of the West. The land in question is Federal land, and the desert tortoise is endangered everywhere, not just in Nevada.

What scares me the most about this whole thing is all the heavily armed people (estimates say about 1,000) that showed up from all over the country to 'defend' the rancher. The BLM has backed down for now for safety reasons. Some of those who showed up are advocating overthrowing the government, and that's the scariest of all.

I don't want to argue with you either. There was a report on facebook last night that said the "turtle" thing is just "BS".
The land has other valuable than what the gov't is admitting. Apparently Harry Reid is involved. Something about water and construction, etc. I only know what I read and listen to on Greta, Hannity, and O'Reilly. But I'm sure it's deeper than what we're being told. Hope you and hubby are well. God bless.

The real story is out there; try reading and listening to others besides the pundits on Fox. Most of the news is slanted, but if you read stories from all sides, you can often find the truth.

Sorry. When I wrote that last post, I was thinking that I was addressing Di: that's why I said hubby yonuh.

dictionary.reference.com 1. definition says: pundit -
a learned person, expert, or authority

Webster's New World College Dictionary;
pundit - a person who has great learning

That's not what I have read. I read that Bundy has refused to pay his fees because his family has been there for a long time and his rights are that he can use the land as he chooses.

I don't think he has paid fees to either the state or the feds for 20 years, so some will see him as a principled hero and others will see him as a deadbeat. I'm not going to pretend to know the whole story, however.
