Anne Holmes Boomer in Chief Registered: 03/12/10 Posts: 3212 Loc: Illinois	Well, this action of President Obama -- whether or not you support it -- will no doubt cause a lot of discussion all over the country. I received this link to a New York Times Op-Ed piece called Suffer the Little Children from my mother, who urged me to read it. I thought it was important that it came from her, seeing as she lives in Southern Arizona and regularly sees illegal immigrants passing through their neighborhood in their search for a better life. But then of course many of them are being taken advantage of by people who charge them exorbitant fees and leave them stranded. I think that the Congress had a bill for over a year that was passed in the Senate, and Obama said he would sign it. But Boehner refused to let it come up for a vote.
