Thanks!
I DID pray for a husband w/children since I could not have my own. And that prayer was answered. So you all are right. I need to be a "mother" and do what any "real" mother would.
I even send the birth mom a birthday card yearly and send a gift along for her with her daughter. I figure, if she is loved by my step-kids, then I need to show love as well. DH does not know this, but I must do what I feel the Lord leading me to do.
I'll let ya'll know how it goes next weekend. They'll only be there two full days. Too bad, but it WILL be full! Then we will not see them until after the baby is born which will be after mid Feb. (the DOWN side of divorce....I hate it!)

Over that hump!
I'm thrilled for all of you! We need to include steps, I think.

Well, we had our weekend visit. And interestingly enough, I "feel" like we already HAD Christmas with them! It was so much fun that I do not need the traditional "Christmas Day" now.
An action-packed weekend it was. DSD feels, though, that she did not spend enough quality time w/her Dad. We'll do it again soon, hope.
Thanks, all, for listening to my whining.

You weren't whining lady, you just needed to talk about this.
I'm so glad it went well for you, I can "hear" the happiness in your posting!

Hi,
If this is a Christmas log, can anyone address the difference between having sons or daughters. I have 2 boys and always seem to be "next" on the holiday list. Do daughters run the holiday train?
