Edelweiss Member Registered: 06/05/06 Posts: 4136 Loc: American living in Europe	Anyone do nordic walking? Yesterday I saw a programm on TV about it. They claim it reduces the flab under the upper arm. If that's true...then there's no holding me back!

I used to loose weight when I played golf, but apparently my body has gotten accustomed to it, so now I need something more vigorous. I suppose it is like brisk walking,JJ, only I think you establish more of a rhythm because of the walking sticks. I'm just guessing, haven't done it yet.

Sometimes early in the morning, you can hear them marching by, swinging those poles and chatting and squaking like a barn full of chickens. It sounds like they have a great time. When I come back from our vacation, I think I'll look into it and ruffle my feathers with them.
