And that means about 10 to 15 miles between villages, up and down hills. When she told me how far she bikes, it made me tired just thinking about it. I'd probably kill myself. That's why I walk. When you are on a bike, you don't truly realize our sprawling a suburb can be until you are cycling for 30-50 kms. in the suburbs, leaving the downtown core....and wondering when is this suburban sprawl going to stop until we reach country/mountains. I have met cyclists who were like you jabber. Dotsie Founder Registered: 07/09/08 Posts: 23647 Loc: Maryland	orchid, one of the problems with biking here is all the traffic. There are few bike paths, but they pretty much come to abrupt ends. We have a couple trails, but that's different than getting out on the open road and going for miles.
