Look at that photo, of my girlfriends and me,
You can see we were young and dressed goofily.

That was the year, all five of us,
Entertained family of ole Ma and Pa Gus.

Miss America contestants,
We pretended to be,
Twinki, Kandi, Shortcake, and Cookie,
All of them much prettier than me.

With crowns in our hair,
'n silky skirts to swish 'n wear.
What caused a silly smile on my face,
Was the lack of natural paddin',
Needed, to keep our fancy bras in place.

The five of us were inseparable then,
And as we aged, none remained thin.

Some folks, they spin any truth,
They twist 'n reshape it, without proof.
Still, there's one element nobody can bend,
Time, is not a friendly friend.
