A couple of those words were real brain teasers. Okay here we go with the K's

kale, kaleidoscope, kangaroo, kapok

Take to the water well the pale,
I need to wash for dinner, the kale.

It goes well with the meat I'm serving all of you,
a nice yummy slab of broiled, garlic filled kangaroo.

Once dishes are done daughter, the bottom dresser drawer unlock,
gently take from that drawer, and bring me the kapok.

While I work on my pillow shams, though it is hard to cope,
you can sit on the terrace looking into your kaleidoscope.
