Father's Day

If I'm feeling blue and then think of dad,
That hurting heart, suddenly becomes glad.

I recall father's rosy cheeks and his farmer's tan,
Before long, I catch a glimpse,
Of the world's greatest man.

When I took sick, he'd start to cry,
If I excelled, his spirit would fly.

He taught me to ride, a two-wheel bike,
And bought me a horse, a car, and the like.

He chose to be a dad, to brother, sis, and me,
The man went and adopted, us kids, all three.
